Contrary to common perception, the price of a cake is not necessarily related to the size of the cake. Prices are determined on intricacy of design and the time consuming detail of a custom cake. For Weddings: Please consider your budget before scheduling a meeting to disucss your wedding design, keeping in mind that our wedding cakes begin at $3.00 per serving. For Custom Carved Cakes: Price is based on both the number of servings and the intricacy of design. Carved cakes are very detailed and time consuming - the price of the cake reflects the labor involved.
When planning all events, wedding, birthdays, etc., please consider the following guidelines:
- Andrea advises that orders be placed at least two weeks in advance.
- When you order your cake, Andrea will set an appointment to discuss the details of your cake design (for wedding cakes only).
- An order is not confirmed until a 50% deposit is made. The remaining 50% is due at least 2 weeks prior to your event date. The deposit is non-refundable as it initiates the preparation work to begin on your cake.
- Andrea does not ship cakes. However, cakes can be delivered to any location with delivery fees calculated on the distance traveled to your event.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective April 1, 2009, cakes by Couture Cakes will be covered exclusively in fondant. Fondant is a rolled sugar dough with a taste similar to that of marshmallows. White chocolate fondant is also available upon request for an additional charge. Each of our cakes receive a single coat of buttercream with fondant applied over the buttercream. Samples are available upon request. Effective July 1, 2009, we will assess a $100 fee on all returned checks. This fee is in addition to the original amount owed. We will accept cash only on orders paid for at the time of pick-up.
