About Andrea Howard

Professional Bio
Andrea Howard began her culinary journey more than 20 years ago as a child experimenting in the family kitchen. Her formal experience came years later while working in various restaurants and therein learning the fundamentals of the culinary world, while also seizing the opportunity to apprentice numerous talented chefs. Throughout her adult life, Andrea has spent her evenings and weekends catering events and entertaining friends and family. In 2000, she began freelancing as a pastry chef making custom cakes for countless occasions. Still, she maintained a career in the corporate world where she worked in a variety management positions for 12 years. In the spring of 2008,  Andrea chose to follow her true passion, launching her catering and cake design business.

Personal Info
“Hello, I am Andrea Howard and I want to thank you for stopping by my website. In addition to my passion for the culinary arts, there are several loves in my life. Of course, my wonderful husband and children top the list!  David and I have been married for 13 years and have enjoyed every minute of our journey together. My children are ages 10, 9 and 1 - truly the most fun element in my life.

I have spent well over the past decade exploring new methods in my kitchen and received many requests to take my recipes to a full-time venture; I obliged and chose to launch my personal chef service and couture cake company. Check back often to peruse photos as my site continues to grow.

Balancing my love of food (thankfully) is fervor for long-distance sports, particularly cycling. My first memory of serious biking began at the age of 13 during a family vacation that consisted of riding the beautiful Mackinac Island in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. From there, I continued on and in 2006 completed a 350-mile ride (over four days). You can visit my photo gallery to view pictures from that ride. In early 2008, I made my first attempt at running and participated in the Houston Half-Marathon (13.1 miles!) in Houston, Texas.

In 2004 my husband, David, left his teaching career in the Oklahoma City area to begin his Doctorate in Music. With our two little children in tow, we moved to Lansing, Michigan where David earned his doctorate at Michigan State University. In the fall of 2007, David was appointed
to a teaching position at a local university, relocating our family to the State of Texas!

I feel very blessed and am often overwhelmed to have the ability to say, "Amo la mia vita bella"!

Baci,
Andrea
